Here is one of the strangest looking blooms I've ever seen! It's hard to describe these as flowers at all. Actually they more closely resemble dandelion seed clusters. This shrub is a type of acacia, which if you are like me, a fan of TV nature documentaries, you know is also a common shrub of the African savanna. Of course one hardly ever sees a pride of lions lounging underneath a huisache!
