This plant seems to have different names and is alternatively called the plains horsement or the lemon beebalm. It has made it's appearance in the latter part of May and is one of the larger wildflowers. Again it's amazing the great variety of shapes and colors of flowers different plants have: compare this to a dayflower or a larkspur or a firewheel. You are utterly fascinated--I can tell!
