The Sunflower

Of course I must feature the sunflower. As you probably know, this one is quite common in the late Spring/early Summer and forms extensive fields. It's also one of the bigger ones--I've seen some around 7ft tall with flowers probably around 5-6inches across. I just wonder if these are the same flowers that produce those sunflower seeds people eat. If they are, this is a potential vast, untapped natural food resource! Think about it! They're everywhere!
