These pictures are the product of a quest over a year of scenic nature-photography. It started out as a desire to see and photograph some good bluebonnet scenes. Word had it that this season's (Spring 2001) bluebonnets would be very good due to ideal weather conditions (hot, dry Summer followed by a wet Winter--it was very hot and had been very wet). I followed some tips to find good places to go and took my camera with me and I liked the results, especially the closeups. After that I decided to try to find as many different species as I could and to create something of an online photojournal. There's definitely an interesting challenge to seeking out and finding as many species as possible. I hope you appreciate the results! |
